• Do I need an adapter to use this microphone?

• How long is the cord?

• No adapter is required, it has a TRRS jack connection – designed for smartphones and mobile devices. For other devices, such as a laptop or camera, a TRRS -> TRS adapter may be necessary.

• The cord is 76″ (6.33ft). Total product length including jack plug and microphone is 78″ (6.5ft).

• Does the mic pick up background noise?

• Are any batteries required?

• The microphone is sensitive and will pick up your voice with great clarity, especially when compared with a mobile device’s inbuilt microphone. As it is omnidirectional it picks up some sound from all around and is not designed specifically to reduce background noise, but the small size of it and the proximity to your mouth does have that effect.

• No batteries are required at all – simply plug into the headphone jack of your device.
